Gardens, greenhouses and plants in general are a joy in my life that I scarcely show in my art. I drew this one on holiday in Albania in between trips, thinking of the gardens I visited in Hungary. It’s a bit of a nostalgic piece, to a time when we were small and visited the peaceful garden of our grandparents. The woman in the drawing is not my grandma, nor is the garden hers. She’s all our grandma’s I suppose, dead or alive.
